Our Story

Our story began the same way most couples in the digital age do, online. We originally met on the dating app Hinge and had our first date at a brewery called, Mighty Squirrel. We sipped and talked for hours until they had to close up for the night.

We got lucky on our second date; we both got a hole-in-one on the seventh hole. An even more impressive feat for anyone who knows how athletically challenged I am. We have enjoyed many adventures since then, including several trips to Home Depot and Ikea, when we turned his parent's basement into our own studio apartment to save for a house.

While I am fond of all our memories, my favorite is when we brought home our fur baby Frankie; in that moment we knew we wanted to plan our futures together.

Despite the fact that we had already talked about getting married, and I am notoriously difficult to surprise, Dom managed to do exactly that when he proposed to me in an escape room.

Turns out the “evidence” we had to find was my engagement ring which, comically, I thought belonged to the escape room. My adrenaline was pumping and my mind racing from solving puzzles that it took me a moment to realize what was happening.

Riding on the high of being newly engaged, we hopped in the car to head home for lunch...Dom knows I get hangry. Little did I know the day was about to get even more memorable; we were greeted by all our closest family & friends. Dom had managed to surprise me not once, but twice. I cannot wait to see what surprises lie ahead.

To be continued...

What to expect for our ceremony and reception

  • We ask guests to wear semi-formal attire. Gentlemen think suit jacket, dress shirt, and dress pants; ladies think little black dress, blouse with a skirt, or a dressy jumpsuit.
  • Our ceremony will be a device-free event; we want our guests to be in the moment with us. We've hired a photographer and videographer to capture the entire event; we are happy to provide guests pictures, upon request.
  • Both our ceremony and reception will be an adult only event; we want parents to enjoy a night out by themselves.
  • A cash bar will be open during cocktail hour following the ceremony and the reception.
  • A shuttle service will be provided for guests who have chosen to book a stay at the Hampton Inn in Auburn, MA.
  • For more details, please see our FAQ page.
